Do US immigration need consent of both parents of a minor to travel even when they are with their mother only?
I am a Filipino Nurse awaiting US interview for Employment Base Visa Petition here in the Philippines.Unfortunately, my husband(seafarer) left US 2 years ago. Would this hinder me in bringing my children with me if ever our immigrant application be approved? Do the US immigration demand consent of both parents to bring minor children to US grounds? What are my options?
I believe so yes. I am a US citizen living in New Zealand and had to obtain a signed notarized document from my spouse to enable my daughter to travel with me. For more information go to www.travel.state.gov
