I want to work in the United States from Canada, how do I go about it? I want to be a social worker or university instructor in a nice neighborhood in the US. I’m a Canadian citizen and I was born in Canada. How do I go about this? Can you tell me the costs?
You’ll need to have an advanced degree in a field where the US needs more workers (same rules as any American wanting to move to Canada). Get the job first and the employer will apply for your work visa. The employer should pay the costs of the visa application. Your moving expenses will vary greatly depending on how much you’re bringing with you and where in the US you decide to settle.
