Fiance visa to the US/UK?
I am British and my boyfriend is a US citizen. I wanted him to move to the UK, I was going to get him to come here on a fiance visa, and my income can support US both aswell as accommodation until he finds work here. But seems there is a financial requirement of £18,600 that i need to have as an income to prove i can support US. Although I can support US, my income is not that much. I don’t know if there are any loop holes with this and if he would still be allowed to come over on that visa without meeting that financial requirement.
I also looked at me moving to the US on a fiance visa, from what I have read it seems you can get a fiance visa and be allowed to enter the US for 90 days in which you must marry within that time, then you are allowed to stay until the immigration center files for your permanent residence visa. My worry was, I am visiting him in the US and was worried if i came back to the UK pregnant, is this going to stop me from moving there or him coming here?
My ideal would be that he came to the UK as I have a well paid job and a good income with accommodation here and family. But for the fiance visa in the UK there is a financial requirement of £18,600. And as far as I am aware there isn’t a requirement for the US fiance visa.
Does anyone have any advice as to what i should do? or any information to help my situation?
The income requirement is very strict, you will not be able to get him into the UK unless you can meet it. There is also a US income requirement if you go that route.
If you were to get pregnant (don’t) this would increase the income requirement (true in both countries).
