Can you travel within the US if you have the K1 visa?
I am just wondering if it is allowed to travel within the US or interstate if you only have the K1 (fiancee visa). Do you need to have your passport everytime you fly between states? I am planning to visit my family in Chicago but my fiance and I will be living in PA. A reliable source is very much appreciated. Thank you.
We have freedom of travel here in the US. YOu need your passport as identification to get on the plane, but you don’t need any special visa to travel. There are no internal passport or visa checks (aside from some roadblocks near the Mexican border). Your K-1 visa is good for all purposes as long as you stay in the US.
