Question About US Visa Interview

Daniel asks…

No show for US Visa interview?

I was a NO Show candidate for US Visa interview on 17th June. it’s been more than 3 weeks now and my status has not been updated and so i am unable to reactivate my VFS fees and reschedule my appointment. Is this 3 weeks wait normal or am i doing something wrong here? thank you
Yes I do know we have to apply again but to do that my status shoud be updated by the embassy as no show, which hasnt been done yet. My question is whether it takes more than 3 weeks to update..

Best Answer:

No, you wouldn’t be denied a visa based on a no show. It’s not actually allowed. I can’t say why you wouldn’t have been updated to no show, except perhaps they’re just too busy, which they frequently are in the summer time. You would need to get in touch with the embassy to find out what happened, and how to reactivate your fee. Or contact VFS itself. Check out www.usembassy.gov for the website of all of the consulates and the embassy in India.

I see once again, thecharleslloyd is claiming that uscis.com is the site for the group that awards visas. It’s not a government site, it’s a private site that has nothing whatever to do with visas or anything else beyond advice. The ads for Asian dating services are the clue. You don’t see that a lot on government sites.
