Why do I need a visa?
I am having a school trip to turkey, Greece , and Italy. I got a paper saying that I need a visa. If you have any websites thanks.
Assuming you are a US Citizen, you do not normally require a visa for visits up to 90 days for Greece and Italy (or any other EU nation).
If you go to Turkey you will require a visa which can be purchased and obtained online
• As of April 17, 2013, electronic visa (e-Visa) replaces “sticker visa” which was issued at the border crossings. Applicants just need to log on to www.evisa.gov.tr , provide the requested information, (after the application is approved) make online payment and download their e-Visa.
If you are being told you need a visa for Greece or Italy, i’d need to know your nationality (the nation issuing your passport) to find out what the requirements are. IF you are an EU citizen you don’t need a visa, just a passport for Greece and Italy and an online visa for Turkey just as if you were a US citizen.
For a school trip you will also need a notarize consent signed by both of your parents, which I am sure your school will provide to you.
